Michael Schilling

P.E., M.ASCE

Schilling currently leads the engineering and design team at WAM. Starting with the company in 1997, Michael has more than 20 years of experience in the consulting engineering field. In 2014 he became the principal engineer and president of Walter A. McKinnon Associates and ushered the company into its 50th year of existence in 2016. Since assuming the role, he has expanded the company from not only an engineering consulting firm, but into an overall project engineering company and expounding on the principals of both Architectural and Structural engineering. This has allowed our clients, which vary from residential homeowners to private developers and municipalities, to enter our office for initial site development and participate in the design phase of their project and coordination with our structural division as well as other engineering consultants. We work closely with our client through the construction phase, helping navigate controlled construction requirements as well as guiding general contractors and subcontractors through the building structure, and state and local code requirements and bylaws.
